The American Heart Association Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR / AED course teaches how to recognize and treat sudden illness and injury in children and infants. Participants learn how to provide CPR and to use an Automated External Defibrillator.

Intended Audience:
This course is intended for individuals responsible for the care of children and infants – particularly childcare providers, babysitters, camp counselors, and parents. This course is also appropriate for members of the community who want to be prepared in the event of a cardiac arrest or serious life-threatening injury.
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR-AED blended learning course offers a flexible, time-saving option for workplaces or lay rescuers who prefer the convenience of online training. (Part 1) delivers the course content via online, self-paced modules. (Part 2) requires students to meet with an American Heart Association Instructor to complete a hands-on skills session. Upon successful completion of all parts, students receive a course completion card valid for two years.
