The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR / AED course teaches how to recognize cardiac arrest and choking in Adults, Children, and Infants. Participants learn how to provide CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Intended Audience:
This course is designed for those who have a duty to respond to an emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. It is also appropriate for members of the community who want to be prepared in the event of a cardiac or serious life-threatening emergency.
The Heartsaver CPR-AED blended learning course offers a flexible, time-saving option for workplaces or lay rescuers who prefer the convenience of online training. (Part 1) delivers the course content via online, self-paced modules. (Part 2) requires students to meet with an American Heart Association Instructor to complete a hands-on skills session. Upon successful completion of all parts, students receive a course completion card valid for two years.
